This is a repair kit for the glove box lid in all 78-88 Porsche 928s and all 85.5 on 944s and 968s. It replaces the plastic brackets that hold the glove box lid in place when its opened. It is made of steel. The color is silver but can be painted. Four #4 x 1/2" Phillips screws are included.

This piece fits into the recessed area surrounding the defroster holes, keeps the leather or vinyl in place, covers the perimeter of the holes and is held down by six threaded studs on the underside. You must drill holes in the dash and the dash must be out of the car for access to the studs on the underside. Its made from .060 cold rolled steel, has six welded 1/4 20 x 3/4 inch studs, and a flat unfinished top surface. You can add any color or finish from simple spray paint to textured powder coat or chrome.

Included are eight (8) 6MM x 1.0 pitch x 20MM Socket (allen) head bolts and eight (8) 6MM x 1.0 pitch x 25MM socket (allen) head bolts. A total of 16 bolts. They are used to hold the seat frame to the rails and the seat rails to the floor mounts. They are steel with a hardness rating of 12.9, the same used on many axle bolts, a lot harder than the stock bolts or anything you will find in most hardware stores.
